Poland Historical Society offers prints from local artist
POLAND — As part of its fundraising effort, the Poland Historical Society will offer items for sale from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 15) at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 4515 Center Road.
Three of the featured items are print paintings by artist Linda Clark, who grew up in Poland. The first print is the Little Red Schoolhouse, built in 1858, as it looked on a winter day after restoration a few years ago. "Poland Main Street" is a collage of nine 19th-century homes on Main Street. "Historic Sites of Poland" includes the Little Red Schoolhouse (1858), Poland Presbyterian Church (1897), Fowlers Olde Stone Tavern (1804), the R. Hall House (1879) and other historical buildings.
All three pictures are 10-by-14 inches and cost $35 each. They are ready to be matted and framed.
The Historical Society also is selling "Poland Historical Highlights" books and license plate frames that display Poland pride.
