BUSINESS UPDATES | St. Joseph Warren Hospital donation benefits Sisters of the Humility of Mary
WARREN — Mercy Health — St. Joseph Warren Hospital recently held its annual supply drive to benefit the Sisters of the Humility of Mary.
This year, the associates at the hospital selected the Emmanuel Community Care Center in Girard, part of the Humility of Mary housing network, as the beneficiary of the supply drive. The care center provides emergency assistance for rent, utilities and other services for those in need.
Associates throughout the hospital collected general household items such as bath towels, kitchenware, personal hygiene products and toiletries.
"Healthy communities don't happen just within health care facilities," Kathy Cook, president of Mercy Health — St. Joseph Warren Hospital, said in a news release. "They happen when everyone comes together, collectively working toward extending a helping hand to someone in need. Our associates understand their commitment to our ministry also means a commitment to the greater Trumbull County community."
