Columbiana County Health District to host COVID vaccine booster clinics
LISBON — Columbiana County Health District will host COVID-19 vaccine booster clinics this weekend and next week.
A clinic for health care workers and first responders will be available from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, 9364 state Route 45. Preregistration is not required, but proof of identification and employment, certification or licensure will be required.
Both Moderna and Johnson & Johnson boosters will be available.
From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, the health district will have a drive-thru clinic at the Columbiana County Vaccination Complex at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds, 225 Lee Ave.
The Moderna vaccine will be available at the clinic. To preregister, call 330-420-5580 or 330-420-5454.
To be eligible, you must have received an initial series of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and meet any of the following criteria:
- Age 65 or older;
- Age 18 or older and live in a long-term care setting;
- Age 18 or older and have an underlying medical condition;
- Age 18 or older and work or live in a high-risk setting.
There is no cost for the vaccine, and proof of insurance is not required. A driver's license, state ID or another form of identification that includes a birthdate is required. Recipients should bring their original vaccine card. Those who don't have one will be given a new card that will include only the booster information.
