Traveling Food Pantry to be at Eastwood Field on Monday
NILES — The Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley's Traveling Food Pantry will distribute food at Eastwood Field, 111 Eastwood Mall Blvd., at 11 a.m. Monday.
Participants are asked not to arrive before 10 a.m. and to park in the lot in front of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers box office. Drivers will then be directed to the distribution line. To participate in the zero-contact distribution, recipients' trunks must be open and clear of belongings, and windows must be rolled up. Recipients are not to exit their vehicles for any reason.
The distribution will be limited to one family per car and will continue as long as supplies permit.
The Traveling Food Pantry is a program designed to address the surge in need for food assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Second Harvest Food Bank is collaborating with the Ohio National Guard and the management of the Eastwood Mall Complex for the distribution at Eastwood Field.
