WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump pardoned Edward DeBartolo Jr. this morning, USA Today reported.

The former San Francisco 49ers owner pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to report a felony in a gambling fraud scandal in Louisiana in 1998. DeBartolo Jr. avoided prison but was fined $1 million and received two years' probation.

DeBartolo Jr. was a featured guest at a Trump inauguration party.
