State Sen. Sandra O'Brien to speak at Lattes & Legislators event
WARREN — State Sen. Sandra O'Brien will be the featured speaker at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber's next Lattes & Legislators event from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday at BRITE Energy Innovators, 125 W. Market St.

O'Brien is serving her first term in the Ohio Senate, representing the people of Ashtabula and Trumbull counties and portions of Geauga County. She serves as vice chair of the Local Government & Elections Committee. She previously served as Ashtabula County auditor for three terms and was a teacher at both the elementary and collegiate levels.
Thrift store, physical therapy center to have ribbon-cutting ceremonies
Memories Forever Thrift Store, 4954 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The new thrift store offers a wide range of goods, from clothes and shoes to dishes, fax machines, books, VHS tapes, shelves and more. The shop specializes in wares for home and office spaces.
"I hope to create something long-lasting [with this store]," owner Tracy Fitzgerald said in a news release. "A place to start family traditions and, of course, to have something to leave my kids and their future kids."

A new physical therapy center at 3826 Main St., Mineral Ridge, under the name Satish Mahna, MD will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
The clinic, under the full title OccHealth Concepts, is a certified pain clinic with a specialization in workers' compensation and auto accident cases. The center will focus on medical care for Ohio injured workers and is staffed by Dr. Satish Mahna and licensed physical therapists.
The clinic will work with insurance companies for patients and refer to attorneys and chiropractors for additional aid, a news release states.
