BOARDMAN — The shows are back on at Regal Cinema South, 7420 South Ave.

The 10-screen theater closed 14 months ago when the coronavirus pandemic surged across the U.S.

Plans for the theater that reopened today include a wide range of health and safety measures.

Auditorium capacity is reduced to 50 percent. Guests are required to wear a face mask at all times while in the lobby, auditoriums and restrooms. This includes face shields with masks or appropriate nose and mouth coverings (i.e. gaiters). Masks will be provided to those without one.

Masks can be removed only while eating and drinking while seated in an auditorium. Employees will monitor auditoriums throughout each performance as a standard practice.

A limited menu is available at the concession stand.

Lionsgate’s "Spiral: From the Book of Saw" is among the new features being screened.

Also showing at Cinema South are "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train," 2009's "Fast & Furious," "Raya and the Last Dragon," "Mortal Combat," "Godzilla vs. Kong," "Those Who Wish Me Dead," "Wrath of Man" and "Scoob."

For Memorial Day weekend, Cinema South will show "A Quiet Place Part II" and "Cruella."

Cinema South is the second Regal theater in the Mahoning Valley to reopen this month. Last Friday, Regal Boulevard Centre in the Eastwood Mall complex in Niles reopened.
