The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley’s new fundraiser is a good way to start your day.

The rescue mission has partnered with 17 coffee shops in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties for the Mahoning Valley Coffee Trail. Those who donate to the rescue mission will receive a trail guide, which contains an offer for a free coffee from each of the participating shops, according to a news release.

You can receive a printed copy of the trail guide by going here beginning at 9 a.m. Sept. 29 and making a donation of $15 or more. The trail guides will be mailed to donors, or they can be picked up at the rescue mission, 1300 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Youngstown.

Only 500 trail guides will be available on a first come, first served basis, the release states. The fundraiser will end Nov. 9.

Those who redeem each offer in the trail guide will be eligible to enter the drawing for a grand prize valued at more than $750, the release states.

“The shops have been extremely generous to donate their coffee, so there is no cost to the mission for the event,” Lynn Wyant, the rescue mission’s chief development officer, said in the release. “Everything raised will be used to help provide emergency overnight shelter and meals for up to 186 men, women and children nightly.”
