Bryan Schiraldi appointed treasurer for Youngstown City School District
Youngstown City Schools on Thursday announced the appointment of a new treasurer.
Bryan Schiraldi, who was hired at a special board meeting Monday, will begin his tenure Sept. 8, according to a news release.
Sandra Huddleston, who has been serving as interim treasurer, will become deputy treasurer.
“The board is excited to welcome Mr. Schiraldi to the Youngstown City School District,” Tiffany Patterson, Youngstown Board of Education president, said in the release. “His background in school finance and experiences in banking will serve the district well.”
Schiraldi earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Youngstown State University. He attended courses at the University of Findlay to earn his treasurer’s license.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of the YCSD Family,” Schiraldi said in the release. “I look forward to working closely with the board and Superintendent [Justin] Jennings to serve our district in what’s best fiscally while keeping our scholars at the center of our decision-making. It is an incredible effort I am honored to be a part of.”
Schiraldi previously was treasurer for the Lowellville School District.
