Scriptless in Seattle: Family-friendly comedians coming to Warren stage
A young group of comedians is bringing laughs appropriate for the whole family to the Mahoning Valley.
Scriptless in Seattle, an improvised comedy sketch performing group, is going on a five-state, five-day Midwest tour this month.
Their second tour stop is on March 22 in Warren at Kent State University’s Trumbull campus. The show starts at 8:30 p.m.
The show will be in the Kent Trumbull Theatre at 4314 Mahoning Ave N.W.

The Cleveland-based group performs improvised comedy with help from the audience. They perform spontaneous sketches and scenes that weren’t prepared before the performance and are family-friendly.
The group of primarily college-aged comedic actors is set to perform 14 live shows during the tour.
“We’re thrilled to be back on the road” said 21-year-old Charlie Hubbell, who is on his second improvised comedy tour. “This is as jam-packed of a week as we’ve ever had—not even a week. And that show list doesn’t even include the elementary schools we’re visiting.”

Scriptless in Seattle will perform shows in Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Illinois during this tour.
“People don’t take tours this ambitious. They just don’t. But we’ve always been a little bit crazy,” Hubbel said with a smile.
Justin Folger has managed the schedule and logistics for Scriptless in Seattle since its inception four years ago.
“I think we’re all just excited to bring some joy to so many different people in so many different cities,” said Folger. “And for us? We get a whole lot of joy from it too. There is nothing quite as exhilarating as showing up to a theater full of a crowd that paid to see you and you don’t have a show yet. You discover it at the same time that they do.”
