Drugs seized from home during raid in East Liverpool
Columbiana County authorities confiscated what they believe to be dangerous narcotics during a search in East Liverpool.
The East Liverpool Police Department carried out a search warrant March 16 alongside the Columbiana County Drug Task Force and the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said they found cocaine, marijuana at the home
According to Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin, the team seized about 14 grams of suspected cocaine and an unspecified amount of marijuana from a home on First Ave in East Liverpool.
They also reportedly found $1,638 in cash and other items described as “drug paraphernalia” and “drug trafficking and distribution” tools.
One of the two male occupants inside the home was taken into custody, officials said.
The sheriff said the man had an outstanding warrant for failing to pay child support unrelated to the suspected drugs found in the home.
The suspected cocaine will be tested by a lab before any charges can be filed, reports indicated.
