Culturati Studios opening Thursday for customers to sell, buy and trade goods
Steven Jimenez owns Culturati Studios, 350 East Federal Plaza, in downtown Youngstown and wants customers to stop by this weekend for a grand opening.
Culturati Studios on East Federal Street is 10,000 square feet of part-consignment shop, part-events venue.
They hosted a soft opening last week, but now they’re ready to open for business.
Downtown business booming
Jimenez says he’s excited for the community to check out what they have in the shop that’s available for purchase or trade.
“It’s just something new in the area, something different,” Jimenez said. “It’s focused on the arts, something for creators and creatives to come and, you know, somewhere to sell their stuff and it’s downtown. It’s what I love about it the most.”
He said anyone looking for secondhand products and consignment will love Jimenez’s store, as well as small business owners and local creators.
“We also have local brands, a lot of local brands reaching out, and they’ll be selling their products here,” Jimenez said. “Whether it’s jewelry, clothing, or sneakers, or artwork as well, we got some artists there who will be awesome. That’s mainly what we’ll have in store.”
Buy, sell or trade
The store opens this Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. They’ll be open Friday from 3 to 8 p.m.
If you can’t make it for the marketplace’s grand opening, Jimenez said they’ll be open again on Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
They’ll have one-of-a-kind art made by local creators, clothing and shoes from small businesses like Vintage 330 and Youngstown Kicks, and more to check out.
You can find them on Facebook and Instagram.
