Federal Frenzy lineup announced for downtown music festival

Youngstown State University student organizations are slated to host Federal Frenzy Music and Arts Festival, which will take over downtown Youngstown and showcase 24 musical acts nationwide.

What is Federal Frenzy?

The ninth annual free music and arts celebration organized by students will take place on four stages from 2 to 11 p.m. on April 22 in downtown Youngstown.

There’s no price for entry and it will take place on East Federal Street.

Festivities are planned for the entire street, from Penguin City Beer to the Youngstown Flea.

During the festival, Penguin Productions announced the 24 artists performing on two indoor and two outdoor stages.

Who’s playing Federal Frenzy?

Featured artists scheduled to perform on the YSU Penguin Productions Main Stage include Youngstown natives like Candace Campana and Fifth & Aurora, as well as Goners, Indre, Fine Young Men, LVRBOY, followed by headliner Mick Jenkins.

The following lineup of artists was announced for the three other stages on East Federal Street:

Jambar Student Media Stage (outdoor): Unc D, Shelby Olive, Riley Burke, Demos Papadimas and Rolling Boxcar International

Penguin City Taproom Stage (indoor): CPA Jake, Sedona, Dom Deshawn, Madame Marlowe, Speedo Agreedo and East 9th

Summit FM Stage in Penguin City’s Pollock Ballroom (indoor): Headliner- The Commonheart, opening set - Brooke Surgener, followed by Larry Elefante, Rami Feinstein, Marc Lee Shannon, and Katy Robinson & the Wanderers

Shopping will be available from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Youngstown Flea, where the Jambar Student Media Stage is set up.
