WATCH: Youngstown State softball team’s triple play makes ESPN SportsCenter’s top 10

A heads-up play from Youngstown State second baseman Sara Fessler on Tuesday helped the team make ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays of the day list.

In the first inning of the second game of a doubleheader, Fessler ranged to her left to grab a blooper from a Robert Morris batter. She quickly stepped on first base and threw to second base to double up both runners to get the triple play.

Here’s how ESPN described it.

Fessler followed up her defensive play with a home run in the first inning, but Robert Morris came back to win the game 11-3.

Youngstown State won the opener, 6-5.
