Almost a year and a half later, a Youngstown woman was sentenced in the Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas.

Joanna McCane, 44, was sentenced today in Judge Cynthia Westcott Rice’s court and placed on probation for five years.

She was indicted for “throwing rocks through windows” at the Trumbull County Courthouse in Warren on Nov. 27 of 2021.

According to court records and police reports, she was indicted and arrested in early 2022.

According to WKBN and WFMJ, police said the vandalism “occurred after McCane was released from jail following a trespassing incident at a Warren restaurant.”

McCane was seen on surveillance video breaking at least 20 windows, according to the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office.

Court records show that McCane’s attorney, Alexander Keane, had temporarily offered a not guilty by reason of insanity plea, but later changed the plea to guilty.
