The 15th annual Ryan Johnson Memorial 5K run/walk is set to go off at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13 at West Branch High School.

The cost is $25 and includes a finisher medal and t-shirt to the first 200 participants. A sub sandwich meal after the race is also included. Persons who haven’t registered, can register earlier at the site on the day of the race.

The race begins and ends on the grounds of West Branch High School.

The race is held each season in memory of Ryan Johnson, a West Branch athlete who died after running a leg of a 3200-meter relay in a West Branch-Canton South track meet in April of 2008.

Proceeds from the race fund the Ryan Johnson Memorial Scholarship which is awarded each spring to deserving West Branch High School students.
