Norfolk Southern, East Palestine team up for community street fair
The village of East Palestine is ready to aim to bounce back from loss in business after the train derailment in February with the annual summer kick-off.
In partnership with Norfolk Southern this year, East Palestine will celebrate the start to summer with its yearly street fair.
What is the East Palestine Street Fair?
The East Palestine Street Fair will be full of rides, live music, carnival games and more in a new partnership with Norfolk Southern, according to the chamber of commerce on Facebook.
The four-day festival starts today at 5-10 p.m. If you can;t come today, come back Thursday from 5 -10 p.m., then on Friday from 5-11 p.m. or Saturday, 1-11 p.m.
Local and regional non-profit organizations will be setting up booths, alongside local food vendors and rides by McGinnis Amusement Company.
Check out live musicians performing at the fair, like The Project Band, taking the stage at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
How much does it cost?
All the rides and attractions are free, and there’s no entry fee.
If you get hungry or want to play any of the carnival games, the games and food will cost money.
Where is the street fair happening?
The festival is taking place on North Market Street, the main road for businesses and commerce in the village.
