NOTEBOOK: Struthers Athletic Hall of Fame inducts alumni into class of 2023
The Struthers Athletic Hall of Fame is inducting twelve alumni into its 2023 class.
They include:

Mike Harris (Football, 2000)
Jake Jacubec (Basketball, 2012)
Nate Jacubec (Basketball, 2011)
Robert (Bobby) Marshall (Football, 1988)
Garry Robbins (Basketball, 1981)
Larry Robbins (Basketball, 1981)
Matt Rupe (Football, 1998)
Mark Simpson (Baseball, 1984)
Ernie Valley (Golf, 1972)
The inductees will be honored at the Struthers High School home football game on September 15.. Following the game, an event will be held at The St. Nicholas Great Hall from 9-11 p.m.
The BABY & ME – Tobacco Free Program honored
The BABY & ME – Tobacco Free Program in Trumbull County was recently designated a “Best Practice” by the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP).
Programs with this designation have been reviewed by experts in the public health field as proven effective.
2023 National Philanthropy Day Award nominations are being accepted
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning-Shenango Chapter is now accepting nominations for the 2023 National Philanthropy Day Award Celebration which will be held on November 16. This annual event provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the good work being done through the philanthropy of individuals and organizations in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys.
Nominations are now being accepted in the following categories:
Outstanding Philanthropist (individual or family)
Outstanding Corporate Philanthropist (for-profit corporation with more than 100 employees)
Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist (100 employees or fewer)
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser (individual)
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraising Group (volunteer group)
Outstanding Young Philanthropist (individual or group, 18 and under)
Legacy Award (presented posthumously to an individual or family)
Nomination forms with expanded descriptions and criteria for each award category are available at http://bit.ly/404YyPK . To be considered, nominations must be received by 5 p.m. July 14.
To be eligible, nominees must reside in Mahoning, Trumbull, or Columbiana counties in Ohio or in Mercer or Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania.
The 27th Annual Window World Golf Tournament slated July 10 in Poland
The 27th Annual Window World Golf Tournament will be held July 10 at The Lake Club in Poland.
The event will help to benefit the work of Beatitude House and Ursuline Sisters Mission.
The tournament will welcome 144 golfers for an 18-hole scramble beginning with a 10 a.m. shotgun start following registration and a light breakfast.
An opportunity to win a 2-year car lease will be provided by #1 Cochran for a hole-in-one on the ninth hole.

Youngstown Warren Regional Airport to host 5K on the Runway July 15
Youngstown Warren Regional Airport’s 6th Annual 5K on the Runway will be held 8 a.m. July 15.
Proceeds from the 5k on the Runway will benefit the men and women who serve at the 910th Airlift Wing.
Cost is $35 per person, which includes memorabilia medal, t-shirt and refreshments.
Molly Hatchet to play Robins Theatre
Southern rock band Molly Hatchet will play the Robins Theatre at 8 p.m. July 28 with opening act the Huckin Fillbillys.
Tickets range between $30 - $55. All tickets are reserved seating.
Tickets will be available for purchase at www.robinstheatre.com and at the Robins Theatre Box Office located at 160 E. Market St., Warren.
Youngstown native Jody Pedaline joins Burgan Real Estate
