Self-defense for youth workshop offered at Jewish Community Center of Youngstown
The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown is hosting a self-defense for youth (ages 10-17) workshop at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays from July 22 through Aug. 26.
Instructor Ken Mediate will teach youth to be more aware of their surroundings and to recognize threats. These classes are meant to be entertaining with an emphasis on “playing seriously.”
The students will learn a series of strikes along with self-defense techniques.
The cost is $23 for JCC members and $30 for nonmembers.
Registration is required by July 19.
