Powerball jackpot rises to $900M after 37 no-win drawings

The Powerball jackpot has increased to $900 million after no one won the life-changing grand prize in Saturday night’s drawing.

The white balls 2, 9, 43, 55, 57 and red Powerball 18 did not match a single ticket sold nationwide. Three people matched all five white balls to win $1 million.

The Powerball jackpot was last won by an Ohio player

The current Powerball jackpot, which will be up for grabs in another drawing on Monday night, is the third-largest in the lottery’s history.

There have now been 37 consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner. The jackpot was last won on April 19, when a single ticket-buyer in Ohio took home $252.6 million.

If you win Monday, the immediate lump sum payment will be $465.1 million

If someone wins the $900 million drawing on Monday, the immediate lump sum payment will be $465.1 million, according to Powerball.

The largest jackpot in Powerball history was $2.04 billion in November 2022. That lottery was won by Edwin Castro, a Southern California resident. The second-largest jackpot was $1.59 billion in January 2016, which was split between three grand prize winners.

Before this jackpot soared to astronomical heights, the previous record grand prize in 2023 was $754.6 million, which was claimed by a winner from Washington State in February.
