Youngstown police welcomes four new officers
Four new Youngstown police officers were sworn in this morning by Youngstown Mayor Jamael “Tito” Brown and Youngstown Police Chief Carl Davis.
“These individuals have undergone a selection process which includes extensive background checks and interviews,” Davis said. “These new officers have completed the required Apollo [Basic Police] training, covering various aspects of law enforcement including policing, emergency response and conflict resolution.”
The new officers include:
- Kristina Menichini
- Chad Shaffer
- William Droste
- Michael Brown
“These new officers bring a diverse range of skills and experience to Youngstown Police Department. All of them have prior law enforcement experience, and I am totally confident that these new officers will be professionals and uphold a high standard of integrity and public service,” Davis added.
Davis said they’ll each be assigned to work in the patrol division to get hands-on training in the field with officers knowledgeable about the area.
