Boardman burger joint expands to Columbiana County
A fast food restaurant in Boardman is expected to open a brand new location for Columbiana County customers.
Sespe Burger is preparing to open for business on Aug. 1 in Red Brick Commons at Firestone Farms in Columbiana.
What food does Sespe Burger offer?
Stop by for a thin smash burger made close to home, inspired by owner Jeff Porter’s love of the Southern-California style patty typically served from stands on the street.
“We missed that type of food, so we brought it back to Ohio with us,” said his wife, Christina Porter.
They also have impossible burgers, fries, onion rings, and breakfast burritos on the menu.
You can use the website or the Sespi Burger mobile app to place your order beforehand.
Owners are looking for cashiers and cooks to work at the new location. Anyone interested in a job can apply online.
Where is the Columbiana location?
Check out the new location coming to Red Brick Commons at Firestone Farms at 95 Town Center Ave., near Sabi’s Restaurant, which opened last July.
They’ll be open Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Friday to Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sespe Burger Boardman at 8252 Market St. has a drive-thru and dining room; they’re open now Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Christina said they were attracted to Columbiana County because of its reputation as an expanding area.
“We felt comfortable working with the great people at the Red Brick Commons site, DeMaiolo Development,” she said. “We have been serving burgers in Columbiana from our mobile food cart in the summers the past couple of years, so we already built up a following of burger lovers in the area.”
