Everything you need to know for Kid Rock’s Youngstown concert on Saturday

Heading to see Kid Rock this weekend? Here’s everything you need to know.

When and where: Kid Rock is headlining this year’s highly anticipated Y-Live music concert, sharing the stage with opening acts Lee Brice and Buckcherry. He’s set to take the stage this Saturday in Youngstown and 20,000 people are expected to attend the concert.

Doors open at the main entrance at 5 p.m. at Wean Park at 201 Phelps St. in Youngstown near the Covelli Center

Get tickets: Tickets are still available online starting at $55.

Mobile ticket holders are recommended to add their tickets to the Apple Wallet app or the Android Passbook before coming to the show. No screenshots of tickets will be accepted for entry. Will call is at the Southwood Health Box located in the Covelli Centre.

Parking: Phobe Breckenridge with JAC Live told WFMJ concert attendees should plan on arriving early to find a good place to park. Parking lots open at 4 p.m. and a select number of parking passes are still available for pre-purchase online.

The only non-prepaid downtown parking available the day of the concert is at Youngstown State University’s Wick Avenue parking deck. Parking here will cost $10. Once parked, you can walk to the venue or use the shuttle service running from 4 p.m. until midnight at the Wick Avenue Parking Deck.

The DeYor Performing Arts Center will also offer parking for $10 per car. According to the center’s Facebook, the fee goes toward programming and performances for local non-profit arts. The parking lot will open at 3:30 p.m. at 201 W. Commerce St.

Things to remember: There are several rules for what you can and can’t bring into the venue. Tailgating is prohibited at the concert and outside alcohol is permitted inside.

JAC Management asks guests not to bring any of the following restricted items:

  • Outside food, drink, or alcohol of any kind
  • Briefcases, backpacks, winch bags, luggage, computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases, or wallet chains
  • Professional cameras or recording devices like laptops, tablets and Go-Pros
  • Coolers, seat cushions, umbrellas, strollers
  • Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
  • Any animals except service pets
  • Purses that don’t meet the bag policy requirements

Bag policy: Only clear and see-through bags no larger than 12 x 12 inches and clutch purses no larger than 8.5 x 5.5 x 1 inches are allowed inside.

Lawn chairs policy: These requirements only apply to lawn ticket holders.

What is Y-Live? Previous performers on the Y-Live who have shared the Youngstown stage include Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Zac Brown Band.
