Meteorologist Alex George leaving WKBN morning show

WKBN meteorologist Alex George marked her last day as a full-time worker at the station on Friday.

George has been with the station for nine years.

“I love my job and I love the morning show,” George said on a recent Instagram post. “But the schedule is hard, and having a toddler makes it even harder. So I will be taking some time to stay home with Emma and enjoy being her mama.”

George said her family will stay in the Mahoning Valley area.

“I can’t thank you all enough for the support over the years,” George said. “You have welcomed me into the Valley and welcomed me into your homes. It has been such an honor to help you start your day over the last several years.”
