Group opposing proposed Youngstown plant to hold rally Aug. 21
SOBE Concerned Citizens will hold a rally 3:30 p.m. Aug. 23 for Solidarity Against SOBE outside the Commissioners Hearing Room, 21 West Boardman St., Ste. 200, around the corner from the Mahoning County Courthouse, 120 Market St., in downtown Youngstown.
The group is slated to speak during a 5:30 p.m. special council meeting to ask officials to oppose the proposed SOBE industrial plant in the city.
The citizen group wants the plant to only be used for steam heating and cooling and not be allowed to expand into pyrolysis and gasification
