Youngstown police look for clues after man dies in shooting
A 38-year-old Black man died Thursday night in a shooting in the 300 block of Ferndale Avenue, Youngstown police said.
According to reports, hundreds of people gathered near the scene while officers tried to create space to work.
Detectives, the Crime Scene Unit and the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office arrived to collect evidence and to begin the investigation.
The name of the victim wasn’t released Thursday night, reports indicated.
Police said dozens of people were outside during the shooting and are asking for help for tips in solving the crime.
