Meet Salute to Business Award winners given by Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber celebrated local businesses and entrepreneurs with a morning award ceremony at Salute to Business in Niles this week.

The event honored six individuals with five successful businesses who were given the annual Salute Awards.

Mahoning Valley native John Zabrucky was also recognized for his achievements in Hollywood.

Here’s a bit of background about each award honoree:

Evan Schumann and Marisa Sergi-Schumann

Marisa Sergi-Schumann and Evan Schumann, co-owners of L’uva Bella Winery, received the Salute to Business Entrepreneurs of the Year award.

Since 2020, the married couple carried on joint family traditions of manufacturing and local winemaking in Lowellville.

Chuck George

Chuck George received the Business Professional of the Year award.

George is one of the founders and partners at Sapientia Ventures, an investment management firm based in Warren named after the Latin word for wisdom.

John Zabrucky

Warren-native John Zabrucky created props for acclaimed movies since 1977 in Hollywood, including Ghostbusters, Star Trek, Austin Powers and X-Men as the founder of Modern Props Inc.

Anthony Trevena

Anthony Trevena works as executive director of the Western Reserve Port Authority in Youngstown.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber honored Trevena with the Business Advocate of the Year award.

Marty Loney

The Salute To Labor Achievement Award was given to Marty Loney, who works for the UA Local 396 Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Loney is the business manager of the union with members in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.

Keith Dunbar

The Small Business Professional of the Year award went to Keith Dunbar, president of Bral Corporation in Warren.

This month, join the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Sept. 14 at 7:30 a.m. for Good Morning, Trumbull! hosted by The Grand Resort in Howland.
