5 things to do this week in Mahoning Valley
The warm weather won’t be around the Mahoning Valley forever, and if you’re looking for one last adventure before temperatures drop, there’s still time.
This week, check out all kinds of unique, outdoor events like the Paranormal Cirque at the Southern Park Mall and the Columbiana Street Fair.
Here are our top five picks for things to do starting Wednesday through the weekend:
Paranormal Cirque show
Performers with Paranormal Cirque combines acrobatic with creepy cryptids and ghosts.
The show starts at the Southern Park Mall in Youngstown. Look for the big tent set up in the Grove City Premium Outlets parking lot at 7401 Market St.
The “spine-chilling” show starts at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with more shows throughout the weekend.

Columbiana Street Fair
The Columbiana Street Fair starts at 5-10 p.m. Thursday in Columbiana.
Columbiana Street Fair Fireman’s Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. lead by the Columbiana American Legion Post 290 Color Guard.
Set up chairs on East Park and North Main Streets to get the best view of the parade.
Organized by Columbiana Fire Department and chief Rick Garrity, the parade will feature local veteran, civic, volunteer, and church organizations.
The festival continues 5 - 11 p.m. Friday and noon - 11 p.m. Saturday.

Grand opening of Full Spectrum Community Outreach Center
Full Spectrum Community Outreach is thanking the community for helping fund their new LGBTQIA+ resource and outreach center this summer.
The community is invited to celebrate the new center with a grand opening two-day festival this week.
The festival starts 5-9 p.m. Friday and noon - 9 p.m. Saturday at 660 Earle Ave. in Youngstown.
Come out for a community yard sale, live music, carnival games and vendors.
Dancing Through the Decades
Take a trip back in time on the dance floor at the adult prom fundraiser, Dancing Through the Decades, benefiting Diva Donations.
It’s happening at The Embassy on Youngstown Poland Road.
The dance starts at 6 p.m. Saturday with music provided by AMDJ Entertainment.
Buy tickets online for the dance at $45 per person or $350 for a table of eight.
Bring dogs to the JCC, Davis Family YMCA for a pool ‘pawties’
Pets can take a dip in the Jewish Community Center pool before it’s drained for the season.
Small dogs pool ‘pawty’ starts at 9-10:30 a.m. and the large dogs ‘pawty’ starts at 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
It’s $5 per person or you can bring an item to donate to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County.
Then on Sunday, register your pets to compete at 1 - 3 p.m. at the Davis Family YMCA Pooch Pentathlon in Youngstown.
