Meijer, Eastwood Mall offering influenza, RSV vaccines

Some of your favorite places to shop also administer flu and RSV shots this month.

Meijer pharmacies and the Eastwood Mall are ready to stop the spread of respiratory viruses among their customers by bringing immunizations to the stores.

According to Meijer, pharmacies in northeast Ohio are equipped with influenza shots ahead of flu season and the first ever FDA-approved RSV vaccine for adults 60 and older.

“Meijer cares about the communities we serve, and our pharmacists work diligently to help our customers keep their families healthy all year long,” said Jackie Morse, Group Vice President of Pharmacy at Meijer. “Meijer is more than a grocery store. Millions of people trust us each year to support their health and wellness needs and these vaccinations are just one of the many ways we’re here for them.”

Meijer pharmacies will also be able to offer the annual COVID-19 vaccine following approval from the FDA, as well as vaccines for shingles, pneumonia, whooping cough, meningitis and tetanus throughout the year.

To schedule your flu, RSV, or COVID-19 shot, text “VACCINE” to 75049, visit Meijer’s clinic website, or call your local Meijer pharmacy.

Walk-in appointments are also accepted.

Eastwood Mall

Head to Eastwood Mall for the Trumbull County Health and Wellness Expo for your fall vaccines this Tuesday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., local healthcare providers and agencies will participate in the expo, offering medical care, including screenings for blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), carbon monoxide and vaccinations.

Individuals attending must bring their insurance cards to the clinic for the flu, RSV, HPV, Tdap and shingles shots.

The American Red Cross will also host a blood drive from 9 a.m.– 3 p.m. at the Eastwood Mall at 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road in Niles.
