Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County picks new trustee

The Board of Trustees of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County voted to approve Denise Glinatsis Bayer as the newest member of the Board.

Bayer was appointed to the seat left vacant by Mary Lou Reyes, who retired from the Board in August.

Bayer is currently the vice president and senior trust officer for Premier Bank.

Prior to joining the financial industry, she spent 15 years as an attorney representing businesses and nonprofits, including PLYMC, while she was at Harrington Hoppe and Mitchell, the law firm contracted to represent the Library.

Bayer earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Youngstown State University and her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve School of Law.

She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Mahoning County Bar Association, and the Mahoning-Shenango Valley Estate Planning Council.

The fifteen members on the Board of Trustees meets the second Thursday in June, September and December.
