Fire alarm sounds at Poland’s McKinley/Middle School from bad valve in boiler room
Officials at Poland Local Schools are reporting that an activated fire alarm at McKinley/Middle School Wednesday morning went off due to steam from bad valve in the boiler room.
A statement on the school’s Twitter account said that the alarm went off at 8:15 a.m., the school was evacuated and the fire department was on scene in two minutes.
“The valve was capped and secured, then cleared by the fire department,” the school said in the Twitter post. “All students were back in the building at 8:29, and our students resumed normal procedures.””
