Ohio sees drop in emergency room visits attributed to COVID-19, according to CDC
COVID-19 cases are going down in Ohio and in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ohio Department of Health.
Hospitalizations have decreased by 8.2%, according to CDC data. Similarly, the percentage of emergency department visits that were diagnosed as COVID-19 in the past week decreased by around 17%.
COVID-19 hospital admission levels are still low in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
Getting updated vaccinations provides greater protection to others since the vaccine helps reduce the spread of COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
