Although the episode was delayed by about twenty minutes, fans of the “Golden Bachelor” still got an action-packed, romance-filled show.

Let’s dig in.

Group date (fake) injuries

Things immediately got kicked off by a group date card that revealed the women would be playing Pickleball with Gerry.

The games began with every woman for herself, literally.

Balls were flying, paddles were being thrown and injuries were faked.

Wait, what?

The games came to a halt when April Kirkwood, Youngstown, Ohio native, fell to the ground with an “ankle injury.”

“Everyone, just go back to what you were doing,” she said as Gerry sat next to her and embraced her in his arms.

Shortly after, she was up again.

“Actually, I’m totally fine,” she told the cameras with a playful wink.

April, what a sneaky one you are. And I’m here for it. I see you.

Although April didn’t get the group date rose, she surely got us laughing.

Next up was the one-on-one date which was given to Leslie. The couple got their heart racing by driving ATVs down a dirt road.

Rose Ceremony

April fans, this one’s a hard one.

“Knowing all of you has made me a much better man,” Gerry told the women before handing out roses.

He ended up sending home April and Cathy.

April, I am heartbroken about, but Cathy, not so much.

April went out gracefully.

“It’s been a wonderful experience,” April said as she threw kisses to the other women and said her goodbyes.

“I’m excited for the next adventure,” she told the cameras.

Ah, April. We all love you. You’re an icon.
