14-year-old hospitalized after shooting in Youngstown dies, police investigating

According to the Youngstown Police Department, a 14-year-old was taken off life support late Monday evening after a shooting on Nov. 11.

Youngstown Police Captain Jason Simon said the case remains under active investigation.

According to police, the shooting happened after 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 on East Lucius Avenue.

The 14-year-old was found in the 200 block of East Lucius Avenue by police officers dispatched to the neighborhood by the YPD 911 Center.

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment, according to police.
