Thanksgiving deliveries, Hubbard worker gives back and school supply drive

The Boo Squad Fund from the Anthony V. Spano Foundation helped 262 families this year with Thanksgiving meals.

The dinners were distributed Nov. 19.

The families came from the school districts of Poland, Struthers, South Range, Springfield, Campbell, Boardman, Girard and Howland.

The groups also fed families of The Beatitude House, Making Kids Count, The Purple Cat, DSAV, Hospice Patient families of Ohio Living and other families in need.

Doris Sutherland of Hubbard

Dollar General announced a $1,000 donation to the Youngstown Blue Coats in honor of Doris Sutherland, local Hubbard resident and Store Manager at Dollar General.

Sutherland is a regular volunteer at the Youngstown Blue Coats, an organization that supplies homeless veterans with food, clothing and shelter during the winter months.

Boardman Office Max supports Robinwood Elementary’s school supply drive

The Boardman Office Max School Supply Drive raised $6,249 for Robinwood Elementary’.
