Non-profit organization puts on Poland Polar Express this week
This week, join the Poland Polar Express for holiday festivities and community enrichment.
What is the Poland Express?
The Poland Express is a five-day block party event throughout Poland neighborhoods that’s happening all this week.
On the Poland Express, there are 50 individual stops which will be marked with yard signs in the Poland neighborhoods.
Each host stop puts on a mini Santa block party for their surrounding neighbors and friends.
Visit Rosalie’s Forever Footprints Facebook page to find each day’s predetermined routes and times for stops.
During the scheduled times during the week, Santa will arrive on his sleigh guided by Poland fire and police departments.
Elves will help sing Christmas carols during the Santa block party, provide a small gift to kids, talk with them and collect any letters they may have written.
Santa will remain at each stop for about ten minutes before taking flight to the next host location.
Benefits Rosalie’s Forever Footprints
The Poland Express generates donations for an organization called Rosalie’s Forever Footprints.
Community members have provided sponsors for Poland Express and small donation buckets will be at each volunteer host stop along the route to benefit Rosalie’s Forever Footprints.
The non-profit organization was founded in memory of Rosalie Noelle Zembower.
“It is our hope that the Poland Express continues to bring neighbors together while creating incredible memories for all of our children,” wrote Ashley Zembower, director of Rosalie’s Forever Footprints and Rosalie’s mom.
Ashley’s goal behind creating the non-profit for Rosalie was to invest in local community projects that help families bond and make memories with neighbors.
