‘A better, stronger place’: Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel announces re-election
Republican State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel announced she’s running for re-election to continuing representing her hometown constituents.
“It is my honor to serve the hardworking people of the 79th district in the Ohio House. I’ve dedicated my first term to listening and understanding the needs and concerns of my district and fighting for our fundamental rights,” said Robb Blasdel.
She filed her petitions for re-election at the Columbiana County Board of Elections last Thursday.
“I look forward to continuing to be the voice for my constituents of Columbiana and Carroll counties while we persistently make Ohio a better and stronger place to grow a business and build a family,” she said.
Here’s two of the decisions she shared she’s supported as a first-term legislator in the Ohio House:
- Supported 2023 transportation budget, which included a series of rail safety measures and a historic investment in roads and bridges across Ohio
Supported a conservative State Operating Budget that simplified and lowered individual taxes, reduced the Commercial Activity Tax and provided relief to small business owners.
Chairman of Columbiana County’s Republican party David Johnson shared his endorsement for Robb Blasdel.
“Monica Robb Blasdel has distinguished herself as a conscientious and diligent legislator, always putting Columbiana and Carroll Counties first,” said Johnson.
Chairperson Patricia Oyer of Carroll County’s Republican party similarly supported Robb Blasdel.
“I am personally supporting Monica Robb Blasdel for re-election to the Ohio House of Representatives. Monica’s conservative values, integrity, participation, assistance, and honesty has been greatly appreciated and is needed for the future of the 79th House District,” said Oyer.
