Michael Rulli to announce plans to run for U.S. Congress

State Senator Michael Rulli has called a press conference for Monday to announce his run for U.S. Congress in Ohio’s 6th Congressional District.

Rulli will run for the spot vacated when Bill Johnson was chosen by Youngstown State University to be the school’s next president.

“We’re inviting voters, local leaders, and the media to a press conference at the Mahoning County Republican Headquarters on Monday where I plan to announce my candidacy for U.S. Congress,” Rulli said. “I’ve been humbled by the outpouring of support in my decision-making process, and I’m hopeful that I will continue to represent Ohio families as your next congressman.”
