Clues sought on unsolved Bazetta Township homicide from 2022

Clues are being sought on an unsolved Bazetta Township homicide.

The case appears on Attorney General Dave Yost’s website of unsolved homicides.

Information is being sought into the killing of Michael Nigrin, 53, who was found dead in his yard on Nov. 16, 2022 at 2990 North Park Avenue Extension.

According to the attorney general’s website, officers were called shortly after 5 p.m. to the area for shots being heard and the caller stated he saw his neighbor laying on the ground. Nigrin was found in the backyard of his residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Evidence was collected from the scene and numerous statements were taken from his neighbors.

Bazetta Township Police Department is still investigating the incident and asking the public for any information that could assist them.
