‘Last Minute’ chance to get Bob Barko Jr.’s new YSU artwork at local market

Do you have some last-minute shopping to do for the holiday season?

This weekend, visit the Last Minute Market Art Show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Head to the B and O Station Banquet Hall at 530 Mahoning Ave. in Youngstown for the market.

There will be one-of-a-kind creations by local artists and artisans up for sale, such as local fine graphic artist Bob Barko Jr.

He’ll have his new “Youngstown State University” piece for sale, as well as limited edition prints.

The artwork depicts YSU’s Jones Hall surrounded by many campus landmarks.

His art company is called Steel Town Studios.

“I sold several Limited Edition prints as well as a few canvas prints to event guests who wanted to get the new YSU artwork,” Barko said. “This artwork seems to be popular with folks who have a strong love for our beloved YSU regardless of whether they are alumni, current students, a proud Youngstowner or one of my long-time customers who want to add my latest piece to their collection.”

Barko said this show is one more opportunity to get the print before the Christmas holiday.

“Stopping by the Steel Town Studios booth at this show is a great ‘Last Minute’ chance to get a unique gift for the Penguin on your shopping list,” Barko said. “I have plenty of the new prints ready to go and look forward to seeing familiar friends and new faces at Last Minute Market!
