‘Our city deserves this:’ Owners of The Octave host grand opening in Youngstown
This Friday, the owners behind Youngstown’s newest combination of live music venue and restaurant will officially open.
The Octave Live Music Cafe and Event Center is hosting a grand opening this week at 34 N. Phelps St. in Youngstown.
Doors open at 4 p.m. for a cocktail party and a meet-and-greet with the owners and staff at the Octave.
There will be an official ribbon cutting at 5 p.m.
To set the mood, owners Gary Reynolds, Jr., Jay Simon and Micah Hall, Sr. commissioned the Youngstown State University jazz band “The 4 Quarters” to headline the grand opening.
It’s not just about music and food; The Octave is also an event center that can be rented out to the community for parties, meetings and special occasions of all sizes.
Guests will be able to walk through the event space during Friday’s grand opening.
According to the owners, they’ve been playing music together and enjoying live music in Youngstown for years.
The business partners are natives of Youngstown and excited to share live music experiences with customers.
“It’s long overdue. Our city deserves this,” the owners wrote.
