Want a package delivered before Christmas Day? It needs in the mail by Dec. 20
The US Postal Service has some mailing guidelines for last-minute packages and deliveries for the holidays.
If you have a package you want to be delivered before Dec. 25, the USPS recommends getting it in the mail by Dec. 20.
“Our extensive preparations and dedicated team are committed to Delivering for America and ensuring exceptional service, affordability and reliability during this holiday season and beyond,” said Postmaster General and CEO Louis DeJoy.
Christmas Day
- All Post Office locations will be closed Christmas Day
- Mail won’t be picked up from blue collection boxes.
- Regular mail will not be delivered; Priority Mail Express mail will be delivered for an additional fee.
Regular Post Office hours and mail delivery will resume on the Tuesday after each holiday.
