The Boardman Police Department is trying to track down who damaged holiday lights.

Police officers responded to a criminal damaging report at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 at 411 W. Midlothian Blvd. in Boardman.

The owner told police an unknown person damaged the wire to her outdoor Christmas holiday lights at some point that day. She said she saw the lights functioning as normal the previous evening on Dec. 27, so the damage must have occurred after that.

Reports say the wire looked like it had been cut with an unknown object.

Officers reported there was another criminal-damaging incident in the same area that week.

The homeowner in the first report said their lights were damaged and it’d cost $40 to replace.

The first homeowner had a Ring camera, but they’re not sure if anything was caught on camera.

Police don’t have any suspects in mind, but had extra officers in the area the following weekend.
