The Vindys ready to rock Rich Center for Autism hometown fundraiser

Jackie Popovec and The Vindys are coming home for a fundraiser for the Rich Center for Autism in Youngstown on Jan. 27.

Rock the Rich fundraiser starts at 6 - 11 p.m. on Jan. 27 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Youngstown.

In addition to a concert from The Vindys, there will be food, cocktails, raffles and an auctions.

If you can’t attend in person, there’s also an online auction on items like autographed albums, sports memorabilia and a signed guitar from The Vindys.

Up for bid, there’s Youngstown State University alumni Jaleel McLaughlin’s NFL Denever Broncos #38 jersey and helmet signed by McLaughlin.

Other highlights include a YSU football helmet signed by the whole team, Bernie Kosar’s autographed football helmet and jersey, a bottle of bourbon signed by Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, a mini-helmet signed by former YSU president and football coach Jim Tressel and an autographed Taylor Swift CD and limited edition double vinyl.

The Rich Center for Autism based at YSU helps individuals with autism and their families find educational opportunities tailored to their needs.

Rock the Rich event sponsors include James Enyeart and Kevin and Yocelin Stefko.

Tickets for Rock the Rich are being sold online.
