‘Every day is merry:’ The Christmas Café open year-round in Boardman

What is the Christmas Café?
Have you ever wanted to escape and celebrate the Christmas season at any time throughout the year?
Head to Boardman for the new year-round holiday experience at The Christmas Café.
At The Christmas Café, “every day is merry;” there’s twinkling lights and cozy fireplaces inside.
Guest can expect to fill up on sweet treats like the peach cobbler Christmas tree waffle, alongside hot beverages like apple cider and hot chocolate bombs.
They also have savory, comfort-style treats like chili and a dish called Gritscuits, a combination of grits and biscuits, filled with cheese, roasted garlic and jalapeño peppers.
It’s not a conventional full menu restaurant for dinner, according to their Facebook page.
Come to The Christmas Café for pick-me-up treats or special social events like adult-only karaoke on Saturday nights, holiday-themed bingo, game nights and live music.
The Christmas Café is open at 7393 California Ave. in Boardman.
They’re open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
On Saturdays, there’s karaoke from 6 p.m. until close for adults only.
“Café of Love” contest for Valentine’s Day
To commemorate the season of love, The Christmas Café is highlighting local couples and giving them the chance to win a Valentine’s Day gift basket for two.
In addition to the gift basket, you’ll get a gift certificate for The Christmas Café that includes two heart dessert waffles and drinks.
Here’s how it’ll work:
- Make sure to follow The Christmas Café on Instagram and Facebook.
- Record a 60-second video explaining what you love about your spouse/partner and what made you choose them.
- Make sure to share the video between Feb. 1 - 10 via The Christmas Café’s Instagram direct message or Facebook Messenger.
- The Christmas Café’s social media followers will be encouraged to vote for their favorite video, but anyone can vote. The video with the most votes will be announced on Valentine’s Day and win the prize.
