National Pizza Day: Wedgewood Fernando’s Pizza offers buy one, give one to Rescue Mission

For National Pizza Day, the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley is partnering with Wedgewood Fernando’s Pizza in Boardman for lunch this Friday.

Owner of Wedgewood Pizza in Boardman Anthony Pellegrini is offering a buy a pizza, give a pizza promotion for National Pizza Day.

For every pizza purchased at Fernando’s Wedgewood Pizza in Boardman on Friday, Pellegrini will donate a pizza for lunch to feed those staying at the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.

They said it’ll be a special treat for the kids and adults staying at the mission.

“I never realized how much the little that I did, by donating pizzas, helped the Rescue Mission,” said Pellegrini. “I now understand what a challenge it is for the mission to help people that are hurting and in need in our community every day.”

The donated pizzas will be served for lunch starting at noon at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley located at 1300 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Youngstown.
