Spring enrollment up at Youngstown State University’s College of Graduate Studies
The College of Graduate Studies at Youngstown State University reported an all-time high enrollment for spring semester of 2,529 students.
Sal Sanders, dean and assistant provost for the College of Graduate Studies, credited this milestone to a number of variables, including improvements to the application process.
“Ongoing collaborative efforts with the faculty and college administrators, the International Programs Office staff and marketing efforts by Ross Morrone, chief marketing officer and the Office of Marketing and Communications has made a big impact,” said Sanders. “Graduate student enrollment in many programs in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics College is up and leading the way is the Master of Computing Information Systems with hundreds of students enrolled.”
While the graduate program celebrates the milestone, enrollment dropped among undergraduate students.
In 2022, 8,635 undergraduate students were enrolled at YSU and then in 2023, the enrollment for undergraduates decreased to 8,160.
On the fourteenth day of spring in 2024, there are 8,051 undergraduate students studying at YSU.
