Struthers man pleads guilty to attempted felonious assault and strangulation
The following court action was taken Thursday before Judge Ronald J. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:
- David Hubbard, 40, of Struthers, pleaded guilty to third-degree felonies of attempted felonious assault and strangulation and was given an aggregate seven-year prison sentence. The sentence includes a two-year term because of violation of parole on a 2022 conviction against Hubbard on charges of domestic violence and violating a protection order. The most recent case involved an domestic violence call involving his 37-year-old wife in the 500 block of North Road in Howland in September 2023.
- Robert Fiorenzo, 39, of Niles, received an indefinite prison sentence of two to three years after pleading guilty to two counts pandering obscenity involving a minor. Fiorenzo was labeled a Tier 2 sexual offender and would have to register his address two per year for the next 25 years after he is released from prison.
