Looking for something to do in the Mahoning Valley area this weekend?
Here are a few ideas to get you going, starting with Saturday’s flea markets in Youngstown, a race at the Canfield Fairgrounds and special events for Valentine’s Day.

Saturday
- Participants can run as a duo or single at GCXC Racing’s You Complete Me 5K at 9 a.m. at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Proceeds will benefit Ainsley’s Angel’s.
- The Youngstown Flea’s two-in-one Market for Makers and Sweets and Treats Flea starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. at 365 E. Boardman St. in downtown Youngstown. Admission is free to support local vendors and makers like Youngstown Apparel, Mandabee’s Headbands, Little Paws Apparel and more.
- Then stop by the North Side Farmers’ and Makers’ Indoor Market from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor. There will be on site parking, no charge for entrance and a chance to to win a door prize. The market is free and the museum’s admittance will be half off. Head to 151 W Wood St. in Youngstown.
- Help celebrate the first anniversary at Sweet Memories Vintage Tees and Retro Toy Store any time between 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at 1282 Trumbull Ave, Suite A1 in Girard.
- Come to MetroMutt: Chews You Valentine Treat Making at 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at McMahon Hall to bake delicious treats with your dog for Valentine’s Day. Call Wick Recreation Area at (330) 740.7114 for details. It’s free for members, and $10 for non-members.
- The Toughest Monster Trucks Tour starts at 6 p.m. at the Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown. Get tickets online or at the Southwoods Health Box Office
- Check out Masquerade at the Darlene Loungehonoring the spirit of Mardi gras at 7 - 11 p.m. with food from Babcia’s Lunchbox and DJ Eric Alleman; tickets are $15. Visit the Darlene Lounge at 145 W Market St. in Warren
Sunday

- It’s family day at 1:30 - 3 p.m. at The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown.
- Watch Love Letters at 2 p.m. in the Annex Theater of the New Castle Playhouse.
- The Youngstown Playhouse presents Love/Sick at 2:30 p.m. in the Moyer Room. Head to 600 Playhouse Lane in Youngstown.
- The W.D. Packard Concert Band show begins at 3 p.m. at Packard Music Hall in Warren
