On April 8, certain parts of Ohio will experience five minutes of darkness during the afternoon as a total solar eclipse passes over the continent.

Attend former Youngstown State University instructor Doug Fowler’s presentation on shining a light on the solar eclipse.

He worked in the YSU Department of Physics and Astronomy.

He’ll be at answering questions at 6 p.m. March 26 at the Girard Free Library, located at 105 E. Prospect St. in Girard.

The library’s asking participants to register ahead of time; call (330) 545-2508 to register.

They aren’t distributing eclipse glasses at this event.
